We would like to welcome everyone back to the Valley of the Sun. And hope that you all had a safe and fun summer with family and friends.

Southwest Trikes opened our summer shop Wild West Trikes in the small town of Dubois Wyoming . It was great fun having Brian and Janet down from Medicine Hat  AB Canada. And  I’m sure he was very happy he had the Motor Trike Trogs installed on his 2014 Tri-Glide as it snowed on their way home. I always tell everyone to keep an eye to the sky at that altitude it changes so fast. And snow is not unusual.  Even if it’s only Sep 10th.

Our trip to Canada was canceled due to the broken axel bracket on my 2005 Honda VTX 1800. Fortunately, we were only 60 miles from home on the back road of Teton National Park. So as things go, if you're going to break down the view was fantastic, minus the grizzly bear half mile down the road.  So were back to the planning stages for the 2015 summer excursion. So far there are about 4 couples going with the kick off in Dubois. Please call if you are interested in joining up.

We ended the summer with the Southwest Trike Crew. Molly, Frankie and Kevin meet up with Dave and Tracy in Henderson Nevada. The three day set up, ride, and tear down for ONE HERO AT A TIME.

We were very proud of all the hard work these kid’s did for this amazing program. They arrived at 3am after working a full shift in Phoenix, jumped up at 7am and started assembling staging and lighting. The fundraiser this year raised well over $25,000 for Specialist Anthony Shepler and his growing family. If you are unfamiliar with One Hero At A Time. Please look them up or call me at the office. We got behind this amazing group of volunteers 5 years ago. Rick Hillis and the guys and gals from Henderson pull this off twice every year. Fall in Henderson as well as Mesquite in the spring. This is the ONLY 100% volunteer Veteran organization we have found. This means every cent of the funds you donation always goes to the recipients. All of it! The 100 or more boots on the ground and in the trenches working to raise funds and gifts for raffles never make a cent. In this day of greed and embellishment, it is so wonderful to find such a dedicated group of American Patriots.  A big thank you goes out to “Doc” Lang for being our larges contributor again this year, it mean so much to know that as a Korean war vet ,you still care about the younger men and women coming home.

As most of you know Dave spent over 22 years dedicated to the military. We respect out vets deeply and continue to be one of the very few shops for Bikes and Trikes to offer dramatic discounts for all services or Trike conversions, for all our Vets. Our returning soldiers deserve the best we have to offer. The Motor Cycle industry is catching up fast and making great efforts to accommodate the needs of the physically handicapped. SWT is doing its best to keep up with the demand to adapt Trikes and Motor cycles for amputee and riders with special needs.

2014 was a very exciting year for us a SWT.

Dave and Larry built a custom trike for Ernie Lazarious. As many of you may remember Ernie was one of the survivors of a terrible motor cycle accident that took the lives of many of his friends. SWT converted his Vengeance Chopper to a Trike with a custom made IMC axel built special for the 250 mm tire and off set. And what a trike it is.

We’re looking forward to this year and all the great adventures it will bring and seeing you all again. Please stop by and share your summer stories and bring your pictures. Most of our friends and clients come from all over the country.
